A few places we keep thinking about...

There’s a certain rhythm to this part of Mexico, slow mornings, color around every corner, and days that unfold without much of a plan. From San Pancho to Sayulita to San Miguel, each place offers something distinct, but all feel connected in their appreciation for craft, culture, and a slower pace of living.

STAY

Where you stay shapes everything.

In San Pancho, we found ourselves tucked between jungle and ocean in a beautifully curated Airbnb. Casa de Papas and Papas Fritas are quiet, intentional, and just removed enough from the energy nearby. The home felt layered in every way: handmade ceramics, antique furniture, and open-air spaces that blurred inside and out.

Hosted by Hannah and Evan who visited San Pancho 4 months into dating in January of  2020 and fell in love with this place, it's culture, and the people. They purchased Casa de Papas in 2022 and built Papas Fritas to complete their home. Hannah and Evan got married in San Pancho in 2024 and love spending time in this community and sharing it with others.

It’s the kind of place that invites you to settle in and makes you not want to leave.

EXPLORE

Each place carries its own pace.

San Pancho stays grounded with morning walks, small streets, and a rhythm that unfolds naturally.

Sayulita, just ten minutes away, shifts the energy with brighter, busier, and full of movement. It’s where you wander, stopping when something catches your eye.

San Miguel offers a different kind of escape with cobblestone streets, long lunches, and evenings that stretch.

If you want a little structure:

- Surf along the coast or at La Lancha and maybe see some turtles
- Take a yoga class in San Pancho or Sayulita
- Book a boat day to the Marietas Islands
- Spend time at the Tuesday market

Otherwise, leave space. That’s where it all happens.

TASTE

Some of the best moments happened around a table.

In San Pancho especially, everything feels local, thoughtful, and easy to return to:

Start with Maria’s for breakfast or Café Floresta for a slower morning. Then venture over to Tacos Los Arbolitos for something simple or Yasmina’s Kitchen for something more intentional. Tierra Tropical Beach Club is perfect for a long lunch into sunset. Finish the day with Barracuda for dinner and pop over to San Miguel for cocktails at Quince rooftop.

There’s a rhythm to it: coffee, something fresh mid-day, tacos or seafood in the evening.
